Position: Fish Food Production Worker

Job Summary

The Fish Food Production Worker performs manual and routine tasks involved in the manufacturing and packaging of fish feed products. The worker assists in the preparation of ingredients, operation of basic production equipment, and packaging of finished fish food products while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and handling of raw ingredients used in fish feed production.

  • Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to production instructions.

  • Load raw materials into mixers, grinders, or feed production machines.

  • Monitor production equipment and report malfunctions to supervisors.

  • Transfer materials and products between production stages.

  • Operate basic production and packaging equipment as instructed.

  • Package fish food products into bags, containers, or boxes for storage and distribution.

  • Label and stack finished products on pallets for shipment.

  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, work areas, and storage areas.

  • Follow food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.

  • Perform other related production tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: No formal education required.

  • Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

  • Skills: Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive production tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during production shifts.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform repetitive movements such as lifting, bending, and stacking.

Work Conditions

  • Work performed in a food production or feed manufacturing facility.

  • Exposure to production equipment, dust from feed ingredients, and varying temperatures in production or storage areas.

Schedule

  • Full-time position (35–40 hours per week).

  • Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on production schedules.

Supervision

  • The Fish Food Production Worker works under the supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
